The Giant Space Hamsters of 3e....

I give you:

DIRE SEA MONKEYS!

Horse-sized brine shrimp. Admittedly, they're not used by gnomes......yeeeet....

Anyone else found some sort of conceptually ludicrous monster in a 3e product they would like to nominate for the Giant Space Hamster of 3e? If I get a few contenders, maybe I'll start up a poll and we can all wonder what people were drinking when they thought of these...

I'm still waiting that they translate the Monster Manual 2 into German. I just want to see how they translate "bladeling". We want to see a Monster with the name "Klingeling!"

Giant Space Hamster class monsters don't seem to be the fashion right now. Of coruse, you can look at books like Encyclopaedia Arcane: Nymphology or Bride of a Portable Hole - The Guide to Neurotic Roleplaying to find the Dire Rhea or the One-Eyed Trouser Snake.

Heh heh - I'm guilty of creating both of those, I'm afraid....

One-Eyed Trouser Snake.
Isn't that one in Fiend Folio?

Heh.

I once wrote up stats for the <deep breath> Giant Fire-breathing Phase Doppleganging Vampiric Sorcerous Space Hamster Death Priest Lich. Mainly to get it out of my system, because I had been jokingly toturing my players with it.

Thinking about it though, I suppose it really should be the <deep breath> Giant Fire-breathing Blood-sucking Flying Phase Doppleganging Sorcerous Space Hamster Death Priest Lich.

Giant Space Hamsters are fun.

Actually, now that I think about it, my "one-eyed trouser snake" went by the not-particularly-very-well-hidden name "cyclopean breech-serpent." Is there a one-eyed trouser snake in Nymphology?

I from the fact that Kae'Yoss is talking about waiting for a german translation, i would guess that "cyclopean breech-serpent" translated into german, then translated back into english becomes "one-eyed trouser snake".
