Okay, winners and looser but I just don't see The Martian as a musical or comedy.

Well, apparently, there's only two categories: 'drama' and 'other'. I'm not sure if 'Mad Max' is more dramatic than 'The Martian', though...

The Martian was rather funny. The Council of Elrond bit with Sean Bean was hilarious. I can see it as a comedy. But it probably was done to avoid competition and get a best picture aware.
