The Guilty Pleasure TV Show Confession Thread

They used to have the Jerry Springer show on real late at night here, and I watched it a couple times a week until they moved it to some inconvenient time. I was always amazed at what people will do to make a few bucks....

I watched the first 2.5 seasons of Digimon, but never got over the switch to a whole new cast and universe. I'm not exactly ashamed of it, though. The second (US) season's villain character arc was compelling TV.

The Girls Next Door aka Girls of the Playboy Mansion. So ashamed.

House hunting programmes. Despite not being able to afford to even rent somewhere, let alone buy.

Cookery programmes.

Ah, Renegade. The great Eddie Izzard had a grand time thrashing that show in one of his stand up vids. So hilarious. Lorenzo Llamas has got to be the lamest lead actor in a TV show ever.

On my front, I'd count Hercules The Legendary Journeys as my guilty pleasure. Just a wonderfully entertaining TV show despite the inherent cheesiness.

Yeah but he looks good in jeans. Who cares if he can act.He is nice eye candy. ;)

I also like Hercules and Xena I have both on DVD and still enjoy them they are a lot of fun.

He may look good in jeans, but the dude's as wooden as Sherwood Forest. A leading man can't just have the goods in the looks department, he's got to have screen presence and charisma to boot.

Case in point, Kevin Sorbo in the aforementioned Hercules. While I'd be the first to admit that his acting not Oscar caliber material, the guy has loads of charisma and screen presence, and didn't have me doubting that he was a Greek demigod (albeit a very loose interpretation of one :) ). He was a big reason why I tuned in to watch Hercules every week back then, and even now. Shame though that he appears to be a bit of a git in real life (as evidenced by his disparaging remarks against Sam Raimi and Lucy Lawless), but hey, no one's perfect.

I own all the dvds for Gilligan's Island, but I'm really enjoying this season's Beauty and the Geek. I think my friend might end up winning!

For me, it's Dancing With The Stars. Although, this season started great, it kind of went down the crapper mid-way through. Sabrina, Jane Seymour, and Cameron gone, yet Marie Osmond stumbles her way into the finals? If she wins, I'm calling "Shenanigans".

I don't record it or plan time to watch it but whenever it's on, I always find myself watching a few minutes here and there of Shot At Love on MTV. Man, that is some trash TV lol.
