The Guilty Pleasure TV Show Confession Thread

Back in my teens when I broke both my hips, I was flat on my back for more then 6 months. I grew to love this really bad Aussie soap called Holiday Island. I would watch it at 3pm then stay up and watch the repeat of it at 2am the following morning.

Yes, I was very bored.

He may look good in jeans, but the dude's as wooden as Sherwood Forest. A leading man can't just have the goods in the looks department, he's got to have screen presence and charisma to boot.

Case in point, Kevin Sorbo in the aforementioned Hercules. While I'd be the first to admit that his acting not Oscar caliber material, the guy has loads of charisma and screen presence, and didn't have me doubting that he was a Greek demigod (albeit a very loose interpretation of one :) ). He was a big reason why I tuned in to watch Hercules every week back then, and even now. Shame though that he appears to be a bit of a git in real life (as evidenced by his disparaging remarks against Sam Raimi and Lucy Lawless), but hey, no one's perfect.

I mainly tuned in for Mr Branscome Richmond who played Bobby Sixkiller. You could just tell that he was having blast on the show. He has tons of charisma. Renegade is a popular show and gets good ratings even now when it is shown overseas. A lot of woman adore Lorenzo Lamas.

I think all the actors on both Hercules and Xena had charisma. I loved Michael Hurst and think he is fine actor. And I really think if Kevin Smith had not died right before he was to make a big blockbuster Hollywood action film he would have become well known here in the states.

Oddly enough, I always found the sidekicks of each show to be more appealing than the respective series leads. I always loved it when Iolaus had a solo episode and Michael Hurst got a chance to strut his stuff. The guy's an underrated and fine actor that I sadly have not seen in any other film or tv show since Hercules ended. But man... did I ever lust for Renee O'Connor when she was Gabrielle on Xena. Goddamn she was a fine woman. :]

I forgot those. I have all the Baywatch on tape and Silk Stalkings on DVD. :o
I though Baywatch was a decent show until most of the original cast left. Then Pamela Lee came in and it all turned to crap.

I'm watching Deal or No Deal right now. I watch Desperate Housewives. Oh, and the worst: if I ever see it on, I watch 6teen. What, it's funny. :p

I have always like Iolus better than Hercules. Michael Hurst does a lot of work from what I understand behind the camera in Austrlia.

I liked Xena best but I also liked Gabrielle. The show would not have been as good without both of them. I was always partial to a lot of the recurring characters. I know I am often in a minority but I really liked Joker and I liked Callisto she was one crazy woman. I guess I should not say liked I should say loved to hate her.

I liked Baywatch really up until the near end when all most everyone was gone. I can't really say why I liked it I just did. It was mind candy and I found it entertaining.

Really, Silk Stalkings on DVD?

Say, can I borrow those?

Heh

LOL The DVDs are not expensive I got first season for 14.00.

I really liked the sexual chemistry between the first two actors on the show. The show sizzled with it. The show was very sexy sort of cleaned up less nudity version of Red Shoe Diaries.
