The druid swarm contracts from atop the water, then surges at the remaining eel, stinging and biting at it until it finally lets the blind elf go in its own death seizure.

Attack: Wisdom vs. Reflex
Weapon: Staff Implement: +4 attack, 1d8+4 damage
Hit: 1d8 + Wisdom modifier (+4) damage, and you slide the target one square.
Special: This power can be used as a melee basic attack

Looks like that finishes off Eel 4[/sblock]

The Hunted: Day, Hour 3, Minute 27

The two remaining eels are quickly dispatched and the group waits, ready to destroy the last one, but it never resurfaces.

There is a moment of hushed silence at the sudden halt of the carnage, broken by Illarion's groan as he stirs to life. The streets nearby are still abandoned and you hear city watch alarms going off in the distance. Out in the bay the Lucky Lucy is floating free, though it looks like the Sea Watch already has several small ships heading towards it to tow it back to dock.

Rysethynn, still battered from the battle, says "I didn't sign up for this, good luck everyone," tosses her Deputy papers on a crate, and heads off into the city.

GM: Combat Over. You can take one short rest for now, hold off on taking any more for now.

Final pc hp totals. You might want to post an updated statblock in your next post with your current surges and dailies used. If you don't have a statblock, now might be a good time to make one. In the sblocks below is a sample statblock from one of my characters that you can steal and modify if you don't have one.

The swarm zips its way up the dock, away from the water, before retaking wilden form. Or, mostly taking it. Those paying attention will note that there seem to be several industrious insects scurrying about the druid's form for a few minutes, making repairs to the bark-and-leaf form.

"We must repair ourselves, and then we must hurry, yes? These are not the hunters, but maybe they are from an aligned pack."

OOC: spending 2 surges during the rest to get back to full HP.

GM: I figured with 6 of you, you'd get a Heal check to stabilize pretty quick and so just had it done with to keep things moving.

Devinihm frowns and shakes his head. "The hunters either have their full map or nearly do. I do not think we can wait until morning. As quickly as we can be ready we must go to the last location. Auntiemab, do you know where it is from here?"

Seeing the last of the creatures dispatched, Auntie Mab enlists Tristram's help in searching over the docks to retrieve her set of prized kitchen cutlery. Her nerves are still badly shaken, as evidenced by her reluctance to pluck her knives out of the shallow water near the docks.

The old woman gives a start at Devinihm's question, "What's that dearie? Oh, yes final location. We still need to check the tavern, isn't that right? Now where was that place exactly... Hmm. Let me see that map a second would you dearie?"

The old woman pauses to collect her thoughts for a moment, and recover from the stresses of battle before leading the party on to the final murder scene.

The group rests for a moment and discusses what to do next. Mab knows the way to the last crime scene, but before the group can leave, Sergeant Rump comes running back with a dozen city watch and it sounds like more are on the way.

"Deputies, you're still alive! When I saw those monsters coming out of the brink, I figured you'd want reinforcements as soon as possible and here we are! The Lieutenant is on the way as well! The city is a mess, even at this hour there's people at city watch barracks all over the city clamoring for protection. We've had to double the guard on all the crime scenes too!" He looks around the docks, noting the three chitin-armored corpses lying at Earth's feet and the eels floating bobbing in the waves, beginning to drift out with the tide. "Ahah, you have already dispatched the menaces. Is this all of them?"

He squints at the hulking corpses and wrinkles his nose.
"Um... why are the bodies bubbling and smoking?"


GM: Yes, thanks pac, that was a milestone. APs for everyone!

Devinihm shakes his head. "One of the eel creatures returned under the waves, and we have not seen it since. It has probably fled with its school dead, but there should be caution near the docks."

He squints at the hulking corpses and wrinkles his nose.
"Um... why are the bodies bubbling and smoking?"

Devinihm spins to look, curling up his nose. "Less natural than I thought," he says. "None should touch them. They may be poisonous. I do not know magical creatures. Is there another here who has seen this before?"
