"Well, alright dearie. Whatever you say," says Auntie Mab, slightly crestfallen. "We are in a hurry, and um, honor-bound, as Earth and Raijin said. Can't fault an old fortune teller for trying to get a better deal though," she says with a wry smile. "Why don't you go talk to the captain love, and see what she says."

Biggs nods, knocks on the captain's door, and walks in.

A few minutes later, the captain comes out, eyes burning. "If we're going to go kill the thing that murdered Dart, then you have the Adventurer. Bring me the head of whatever did it and we'll do the 60/40 split you proposed. Deal?"

She extends her hand.

"Certainly dearie," says Auntie Mab, shaking the captain's hand. "We'll try to keep it looking nice for you. Sometimes Earth gets a little overenthusiastic and smashes things, but we'll make sure he uses some restraint when we skewer the beast," she proclaims, with a touch of false bravado.

The captain nods. "We're off then, tide starts heading out in twenty minutes. If you need any last things, get them quick - it might be a while before we're back. Three days to get to the island at least, three to get back, plus however long it takes you all to kill whatever it was that killed Dart."

GM: If you want to buy any last things or whatnot, now is the time. Ship sails about 24hrs from now RL time.

After the negotiations with Captain Elai the group notices that Xander is just now catching up to the group. He is wearing a newer looking black cloak, which is tinged a crimson red around the edges and it appears that he has had some recent work done to his armor, or at least the parts visible beneath his robes. He walks up to the group and looks over the boat.

"So you have found the vessel we seek?" he asks. Those close to him can smell the distinct odor of whiskey on his breath, and then also notice a new "water"skin slung over his shoulder.

"When do we leave?" he asks bluntly.

OK Xanders wiki sheet is finally updated.
He has upgraded his chainmail armor to +1 and purchased a Cloak of resistance. Can anyone tell me if that item has been erattaed ever, as I only have the original PHB at my disposal right now. If it has I may change the item, but for now that is what he wants. Xander Kain is ready to go.

"We leave now," Biggs says.

The ship sets sail. The captain announces that it will be three days until you reach the island - more or less.

What you do in that time is up to you...

[sblock=For three days...]You may open the sblocks to read what they are, but don't open the Mechanical Effects sblock until you have posted which action you are taking.

All Mechanical Effects go into effect at the start of your last day sailing.

Each of you may only select one action. Multiple people may select the same action for their days.

For a bit of fun, you may Gamble after you have selected what you are doing. If you Gamble, roll a d20; on 10 or higher, you replace the normal benefit with the Gamble Benefit, otherwise you replace it with the Gamble Failure.

This represents you either doing what you are doing conservatively, or going "all out" - being extra lazy, training extra hard, talking non-stop, etc - which might either increase the benefit you get or wear you (and others) out.

[sblock=Rest]You spend the day resting up for what is to come,. You relax, watch the ocean go by or lay in a hammock, watching the clouds drift by.[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]You gain 2 Temporary Hit Points per level that last until your next extended rest. Gamble Benefit: Gain 3 THP per level. Gamble Failure: Gain 1 THP per level.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Train]You spend the day training for what is to come. This might mean practicing with weapons, meditating, studying, or whatever it is you do to prepare for combat.[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]You gain an additional Action Point. Gamble Benefit: You gain an additional Action Point that may be spent in the same encounter as another Action Point. Gamble Failure: You gain an additional Action Point that may not be used to make an attack.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Help Sail the Ship]You spend the day doing what you can to help Captain Elai, Biggs, and the small crew, pulling in lines, manning the rudder, cleaning the deck, trimming the sails, etc.[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]The ship arrives at the island 6 hours earlier than it would otherwise. Gamble Benefit: You arrive at the island 9 hours earlier than you would otherwise. Gamble Failure: You arrive at the island 3 hours earlier than you would otherwise.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Discuss the Case]You talk with the others about what you've learned so far in the case - especially the investigation of the crime scenes and the battle against the sea creatures.[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]Gain +2 damage against demons until the end of the adventure. Gamble Benefit: Gain +3 damage against demons until the end of the adventure. Gamble Failure: Gain +1 damage against demons until the end of the adventure.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Ready Your Equipment]You clean, polish, hone, and repair your gear or familiarize yourself more with your newer equipment.[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]Once per encounter as a free action, you may treat a piece of equipment as +1 higher enhancement than it currently is until the end of your next turn. Gamble Benefit: Twice per encounter as a free action you treat a piece of equipment as +1 higher enhancement than in currently is until the end of your next turn. Gamble Failure: Once per day as a free action you treat a piece of equipment as +1 higher enhancement than in currently is until the end of your next turn.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Learn More About the Island]You talk with Biggs and Elai about what they encountered last time they were at the island...[sblock=Mechanical Benefit]Gain +2 to skill checks while at the island. Gamble Benefit: Gain +3 to skill checks while at the island. Gamble Failure: Gain +1 to skill checks while at the island.[/sblock][/sblock][/sblock]
