Power Rangers, Ninjago, Wings of Fire, How to Train your Dragon, Percy Jackson, and all the Lego Star Wars videos were, for example, all ones he either found himself or we put out there to see if he liked them but didn't grow up with.

As far as introducing our things, he liked Hogan's Heroes and Black Sheep Squadron, but not so much Rat Patrol or Emergency. He's seemed to have liked Earthsea, Tolkien, Narnia, and the Avenges comics. Not so much Harry Potter. etc... with other TV shows, movies, and games.

It feels like parents can introduce lots of things to their children without forcing it on them or expecting them to love it?
It's possible, sure. I guess it depends on expectations and persistence, and just how rose-colored your nostalgia-glasses are. It's worth keeping in mind that the stuff you liked as a kid probably wasn't any better, on average, than the stuff they're making for kids today (leaving a certain rodentine cultural hegemon to the side for now).

To be fair, The Dude also mixed his caucasians with non-dairy creamer as well.

There was a lot that the Dude would abide.

Personally, I'd go all Walter on someone trying to put non-dairy Creamer in my White Russian.

Here you go, Eyehearthawk. You see what happens? You see what happens, Eyehearthawk?! See what happens?! This is what happens, Eyehearthawk! See what happens, Eyehearthawk?! See what happens when you put non-dairy creamer in my drink?!
