The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

There's a thread title that keeps popping up on the New Posts lists that I detest every time I see it.

It's not perfect, but if you ignore the person who started a thread, the thread disappears.

Which might have some limited utility ....

Huh, I know the inverse is not true. If someone is ignoring you and they start a thread, you see it, just none of their replies after.

I dont have issue with the thread starters in most (hell, all really) cases, but when the shark gets truly jumped and I wonder what bizarro land we inhabit, I could for sure do with never seeing that its been updated.

Thread drift is a thing.

Sometimes, you just have to look around at what is happening in a thread and realize ....

Have you considered the "unwatch" button? It'd at least keep it out of your notifications, and you could plausibly just skim past it in the threads list. Of course, some people can't just skim past, and some thread titles might generate strong responses just by their existence, but no plan is perfect.

I do wish there was an ignore thread function on the same level as ignore user.
The functionality is there on the software level, the admin just needs to turn in on. That exact thing was just implemented over on RPG.net and it runs on the same software as ENWorld.

Hello, yes, its me. I try to be a good little forum citizen, but sometimes one can only bite their tongue (or fingers?) so hard.
