Apparently what I learned was incorrect and it really used to be a penile colony.

Yeah, but 4 pages of stuff got added here today. At the rate of post additions to this thread, if you waited a few hours to post people would be a lot less likely to figure it out.

I found out about it when I saw a news article about a workman who had been carrying a long metal pole for a job at a mall. He wasn't thinking, in a way that I think all of us can say we do from time to time, and held the pole straight up, like a staff. It got caught on an overhead sign or something, and punctured the metal band of the escalator; the mechanism immediately ground the metal band and the workman up. There is a security camera footage from a distance. It doesn't show anything graphic, but you can see him just suddenly fall, throwing an arm in the air as he did, and then he's just... gone.

It's the least graphic death I've been exposed to (like many dumb kids my age, I watched Faces of Death), but that one stays with me. And for that reason, there will be no link.

I looked one up on youtube, of similar detail, and regretted watching it. There's a longer version I do not plan to ever watch.
