Aggressive-aggressive gets one red text and an exit from a thread, at a minimum. Passive aggressive is people's frustrations boiling over while trying to behave themselves. (Exiting the thread is better, although it's hard to always get oneself to do.)

I think it is split. Some is definitely frustration spilling over but I also think a lot of it is baiting

Man oh man, I know that pointing out someone's hypocrisy won't actually change their opinion... but it's just not emotionally satisfying to simply exit the thread!

So instead I'll scratch the itch by posting here that I chose to not reply.

I'll take the passive sort over the other kind, any day of the week. Besides, as a Canadian I am required to maintain a black belt in passive-aggression.

Yeah, I suspect there would be a lot more moderator action on other threads if this thread didn't exist as a pressure release.
