I would recommend connecting with the OSR RPG group on Facebook. It is not a coincidence that their logo is the LGBTQ unity flag; they do not suffer nonsense like we sometimes see from dark corners of the OSR universe.

Even the more general Old School group I'm on on there (they aren't hyper-focused on D&D) has told people to knock that stuff off when it came up and booted a few people who wouldn't do it.

Unfortunately, not all OS zones are willing to do that since it means you have to be pretty blunt in calling out some well-known elder statesmen types for their attitudes.

This has been my experience just about everywhere when it comes to forums, subreddits, Discord servers, etc. (save for a few obvious ones), so confused on the discussion at hand, especially since we're posting on one of the best moderated sites on the internet.

Are those that are unhappy saying that all these places don't go far enough?

Oh look, yet another usage of "needs to grow up" as a dogwhistle for "needs to adopt Puritanical values."

Newsflash: symbolic rejections of moral conduct are a method of cathartic stress-relief, not a declaration that said conduct is actually being rejected, and if you presume that's just an excuse to disguise actual lionization of immorality, you're going to be wrong 99.99% of the time (and no, fear of that last 0.01% does not justify your actions).

You'd think people who love playing murderhobos would understand that better than most other people, but for some reason the opposite seems to be true.
