so, I'm organizing my bookcases and found that I'm missing books 1-14 of The Dresden Files

Bummer.

I buy most of my fiction novels on Kindle. It is more convenient than books given my travel and work schedule and I actually enjoy reading on my Kindle Oasis more than with a physical book--which is something I never thought I would have said.

My bookshelves are for game books, art books, and books with a lot of nostalgia. I no longer want hundreds of paperback novels taking up space.

Some of the kindle books I have bought over the years have disappeared from ownership, but in the case of DF,I liked having them take up a whole shelf so i'll replace them with the mass market paperback versions. I found a listing that has them for 95 dollars or so.

I am excited about the 2024 D&D rulebooks coming out because it means that, eventually, every thread won't be about how big of a break they are with the 2014 rulebooks and how to refer to the differences. It seems like every thread, the longer it goes on, veers towards being the same thread discussing rehashing that issue. (Part of that is that new people who aren't regulars pop in and naturally aren't up on a year's worth of discussion, through no fault of their own.)

Or fans of any other edition infesting threads not about their edition of choice. It’s really weird how so many people just cannot abide other people liking things they don’t like. Compounded by the apparent need to stop them from talking about things they like.
Meanwhile, we B/X and BECM fans are over here quietly munching our popcorn, reading our tattered copy of The Isle of Dread again for the hundredth time, and occasionally chuckling to ourselves when we overhear people complaining about 5E's game mechanics...

Honnestly, ENworld should revisit its rules so that Hot Takes/Misinformations/Clickbait content would be considered similar to trolling or equivalent unwelcome posts.

After a time, you stop inviting the weird uncle constantly ranting about conspiracy theories at your family dinners, no?
