I maintain that most people only hate candy corn because social media (or other social pressures) tell them they're supposed to. Way back in middle school, I remember my classmates trying to make me feel bad for liking candy corn. "Eeew, look at CleverNickName, he actually likes eating candy corn! Do you want to eat my crayons too? AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHpbbbth."

And I still say the same thing today that I said to them: "....so I can have all the candy corn for myself? Thanks!"

Its never been my favorite, but I've always found it at least innocuous.

What I want to post when the subject of corporate anything comes up on these boards as a representation of what seems to be a too common position:

Circus peanuts (which, weirdly, have artificial banana flavor) and gummi orange slices are also good.
Right before my mother passed away this past October, she craved circus peanuts, which she always loved and which the rest of us were indifferent to, at best (for me, the flavor is good, but the texture is a bit off). My aunt was able to find one bag, abandoned, on the bottom shelf at a CVS. My mother was thrilled. I think they actually might have been the last thing she ate before she passed. At least I never saw her eat anything after I took the empty bag out of her room.

If I could reliably find vegetarian candy corn, I'd be munching on that stuff. Good candy corn is, well, good.
