Every single person involved in this project knows that there will be increased and in many cases unfair scrutiny just because the authors are people of color. They know, whether they want it or not, that their work will be taken as representative of the work of poc in general, and they'll work twice as hard to put their best foot forward. They'll aim to produce work that's not just as good, but better.
