That's pretty unfair to John Wick. He's just a dude, and I wouldn't want him to get mauled by a bear even if his game designs aren't my bag of tea.

To be fair, this is a pretty valid feeling to have; we all need space sometimes to just vent and be listened to and supported without someone trying to fix everything for you.

That said, I'm not entirely sure that an internet forum is going to be best space for that...

Problem is that for the listener, it's pretty hard to tell "This sucks and I'm going to tell you so you can empathize with me" from "This sucks and I'm going to tell you so you can fix it."

I suck at this even in "real" life. My instinct is to try and solve problems so I tend to not notice when people just want to vent. Recently I've been asking the people closest to me to tell me they just want to vent so I stop trying to fix things for them.
