As a moderator, elsewhere, I can tell you that it absolutely does get more than a little tiring having to constantly play Whack-A-Mole with people who just can't take a hint.

I was ahead of my time! I remember using a spider-breathing dragon back in the mid 2000s. (I applied the Half-Dragon template to a monstrous spider, IIRC) I wrote about it here on ENWorld, back in 2012:

The lower level dragons' stats have a use, so they should be in the Monster Manual. They're vaguely playable as PCs (In PF, at least, due to its highly generous monstrous character rules, less so in 3.x), shapechange forms, effigies, illusions, summons, or cohorts. But they shouldn't appear...
