Hell, I couldn't get people to pronounce my first name right even with the right spelling (see above comment) and two other kids with the same name, nevermind the last name...

Two hundred in a class? I didn’t have two hundred in eight grades of elementary school plus kindergarten.

That sketch was actually part of my teacher training program.

While I messed up names plenty of times the one time I got slightly antagonistic with a kid over their name, such that I had flashbacks to that sketch, was when I had a kid whose given name was, evidently "DJ", but it didn't appear on my attendance list and I with increasing frustration asked him repeatedly "what is DJ short for?". It just seemed more likely that middle school student was screwing with the substitute, or didn't want to say his given name out loud, than that he both was not on the list and had a given name that was an acronym for nothing.

I once subbed in a class that had two girls with the same first and last names. They weren't particularly common ones either, it was just an alignment of the stars and nobody at the school thought "gosh maybe don't put them in the same class where the teacher has to remember whose classwork is whose".

So does anyone else ever read threads on here like someone his shouting the title at you and your first thought is making a snarky retort back for no reason? Just me? Am I just weird for doing this?
