Had an argument about getting a 98% in college chem, with my prof.. "I got the right answer!" "But you got it the wrong way." "How is it the wrong way?" "You didn't state the mass for hydrogen in your solution." "Sure I did!" "No you didn't. You just stated the total molar mass." "BUT THE MOLAR MASS IS 1!! Why add an unnecessary step?!!"

He just didn't want to give me a perfect score.

Tried that in college when it was apparent that I knew more about basic electronic circuits* than did our (fourth!) instructor for out required basic electronics course, when he tried proving that a standard single transistor circuit was a non-inverting amplifier. I went to the course co-ordinator. Asked to take the final exam. Because the course was mandatory, he wouldn't let me out of it. What he did was allow me to only show up for the tests, without penalizing my attendance. Top mark in the class. I would sometimes just show up for a random class, to screw with my classmates.

*My 12th grade electronics shop teacher was a retired US Navy electrician. He blew through our course requirements in half a year, then spent the rest having us independently build an AM radio. I was lucky.
I learned to read the text beforehand so nobody could steal it from me. Years later going back to school to get a business degree (and financial management certificate) I was in macro econ and the woman at my table opens her text and says "it's full of math" and I replied "It has its own math, like physics" (probably pretty happy because I love math) and she gave me a depressed look "I've never done physics".

Yes, I know that there are other TTRPGs besides D&D. I own several, and I use most of them to varying degrees. That's why I call 5th Edition "The Smorgasbord Edition."

I watch the local news once a day usually. Yesterday I'm half watching/listening, half thinking about my life, but its that other .001% that occupies your mind. So Im watching the news yesterday morning and there was an attempted car jacking at Wegmans. My ear perked up, commercial came on, and I thought to myself, "watch it be the one on Orchard Park Rd?". It was. 6 punks tried to carjack a 75 y/o man and he kicked one square in the bean bag then they all ran. 20 minutes later 5 out of 6 were in custody. Its hilarious actually, They interviewed a bystander and asked what he would do, he said "I'd whip their ass." I love my city.
