You get where this is going. I had a person on a forum try and explain every step of the way how they would achieve this. Special holders ont he saddle so the PC could get on the horse and then draw them. Steer the horse with knees instead of hands and the reins. Somehow not get knocked right off the horse after impact because really strong feet...
Well some of that is true. High backed saddle to help to not get unhorsed. 'Steering' with knees because a mounted knight would be using lance and shield anyway (though the reins would likely be held in the shield hand). Carrying one lance on horseback without it being in-hand, let alone two, is ridiculous though. More likely to have a squire and wagon.
