Love that this is a thing. Hate it, but love it.

Also, that over there is actually kind of an interesting discussion, but no its not worth the effort to try and claw out some actual value.
I'm talking to someone on the other side of the planet right now in messages, about this subject. I think the internet is great for a lot of its intended purposes, such as communication, or finding hard science data. Though people want more, it is just their expectations were unrealistic.

I learned a few years ago that our university, with a culture that has defined itself as several steps to the side of Berkeley, had a local chapter of a national organization with a highly oppositely-oriented political bent and just enough plausible deniability to skirt campus policy with their rhetoric. My partner, who oversees our clubs office, told me about it. My initial thought was: "What? Who would even... what faculty member would agree to be their advisor?"

Then I paused.

"Wait... is it X?"

It was X.

And that's the universal takeaway. It's always X.
