He was being passive aggressive
I find that being passive-aggressive is unhelpful.
When I feel the need to scream or shout, I just do the dishes.
I just do the dishes VERY LOUDLY.
Have y'all decided yet? Cause I just witnessed a good one.pringe? cride? (rhymes with cried!)
Hey now, I proposed, someone else has to dispose. It's like that thing, where one person gets to cut the cake, and the other person chooses which piece they want.Have y'all decided yet? Cause I just witnessed a good one.
I mean, there's a promotions forum. Stuff from it appears on the front page all the time. Use that. Because I can guarantee you that I am definitely not going to go look at the thing you just tried to stealth promote at me, even if it sounds intriguing, just out of spite.Multiple people recently have made posts where they either winkingly or explicitly pretend to be ordinary gamers who happen to be popping in to promote a company's product.
Here's the thing: It's 2023. Consumers are pretty sophisticated. They can spot these stealth promotions (which are also a violation of ENWorld rules). And I don't think, even if you don't get caught, the stealth promotions are more effective than "hey, I made a thing, I'm really proud of it, let me be enthusiastic at you about it."
"Heeeey, fellow gamers, I found a thing that I, a new poster, felt compelled to share with you" doesn't make anyone want to click anything but the Report button.
If you are proud of your thing, say so, and say why. And if you are not proud of your thing, polish it until you're comfortable openly promoting it.
