I'm not getting Girl Scout Cookies from anyone, unless it's the daughter who is selling them. Screw this crap of parents making friends and co-workers uncomfortable.
This actually happened a few years ago at work (pre-pandemic, when we were still working in the office). A coworker put an order form for his daughter's Girl Scout troop in the break room, with a Post-It note that read, "Please support my daughter's troop" along with his phone extension.

Someone had put another Post-It note right under that one, which read: "We look forward to meeting your daughter and buying all the cookies from her. Until then, please help keep our breakroom clean."

I think it's pretty clear we need WotC to either 1) release some information about the 2024 releases or 2) do something scandalous again.

Right now, people are bored and inventing new ways to be offended that other people are living their lives differently than how they do.

(I mean, people could also just log off and touch grass, but we know that's not going to happen.)

I usually find walking the dogs and/or taking a nap a good choice.

Not board related, but something I wonder about every day when I'm out driving:

Why do so many people use the license plate frames that the car dealership sends them? In many states, doing so means that, at some point, your actual license plate arrives in the mail, you take off the dealer frame to remove the temporary tags, attach the permanent tags and then willingly affix what is basically an advertisement for a car dealership to their vehicle.

Do that many people have strong positive feelings for the business that sold them their car? In Southern California, it looks like at least half of the drivers on the road are using dealer license plate frames, instead of spending a few bucks to get something else (I have a plain black frame on my plates, personally) or just using nothing at all.

I'd guess they want something to have on there and are cheap. (I can't say I ever recall seeing a license plate without a frame, but that could just me being old and having a bad memory).

In typical fashion, "Religious significance" got trucked-out. Give it a couple of thousand years and they'll likely be saying the same thing about the hole in a spaghetti spoon.
Looking back at the mid 20th century US from 6,000 years in the future...

Irony is a bitch.

I got reamed recently for discounting someone's experiences. And, I stuck to my guns.

Now, I'm getting someone discounting my experiences. And, I realize just how much of a dick I was being.

Irony? Karma? Sigh.
