I've never even heard of a message thread reaching 2,500 pages. Few ever reach that many posts.

I have, got so big the mods closed it for stability reasons and we opened up a new thread by adding a II to the end of the title. But that was back in the days when most forums used Vbulletin and mobile browsing wasn't a thing.

Used to happen every so often on the old WotC forums - the What Do YOU Think My Character Looks Like? thread was on its third iteration when the forums went away.

On the Reaper Miniatures painting forum, the Randomness thread gets closed every 1000 pages and a new one starts...

It's currently on its 18th iteration.

How will you know it's a good idea if an older white guy doesn't repeat your idea as if it's their own?

All the white guys (and everyone else) older than me are retired... At this point, I'm just yelling at clouds unless I can convince some 20-yr-old kid that X is the new hotness and it was their idea...

I am the older white guy

Me (3 years ago) - Boss, we'll need to buy staff laptops that have 16GB of memory or we'll constantly be maxing out, based on the apps we commonly use. (Repeat at least 5 times before purchase)
Boss (in true Bill Gates style) - No, 8GB will be more than enough for everyone.

Boss (last year) - When we get new laptops, they're going to be 16GB. 8GB just isn't enough for most users.
Me - That's what I said the last time.
Boss - Last time I said we should get 16GB but everyone else told me that 8GB would be enough.
Me - ...
