Oh sure, I've seen enough nature video stuff about them to know they're mostly floof that makes them very well-adapted to the cold.the thing with Pallas cats is that only weigh like 15 pounds or so as adults, and are built like domestic cats. That’s all fur, because they live in places like the Himalaya and steppes of inner Asia. Among other adaptations, note he rests his little paws on his tail for extra insulation.
Sadly, Bob was mostly fat under a much thinner layer of fur, and the last time I took him over to the vet for them he was just shy of 21 pounds and practically the poster cat for the "obese" image on the charts. Felt bad for the poor guy, but what can you do when his people overfeed him all the time? It's like telling a parent their kid's obscenely fat, they won't listen and just get angry.
