A lot of my scholarly work on American literature and pop culture worked through the lens of “critical nostalgia” so I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about it.

If there is one thing I am definitely not nostalgic for it is my time in academia. I don't regret it but I'm in no rush to go back.

I used to have a pretty good idea of the layout of NYC because of the schematic locations we used on Children of the Atom MUX (other than everything being reverse, east to west).

Parasite Eve was fairly useful for parts of NYC back in the day. Marginally fewer horrific mutant rats in reality, though.

Well after kindergarten there is also the 1st grade. But it all goes downhill from there.
