Ya it is wierd. We'll have new episodes till about December, then the new ones start up again for Febuary and end in March, then they start up again for the month of May. It's a silly way of doing it dealing with the Sweeps Months.

Yeah. The "Sweeps" are a problem, I imagine. We don't have those, so our shows tend to be more uniformly spread out throught the year and less interrupted.

I know, I know. Watch out for anything evil, the stake is not the power, to serve man is a cookbook...

Ya gotta love it when they throw in one of the classics! :D

I hate the idea of sweeps, yet it's when all the good programs on on. Still, I'm not ready to give up my TV worship just yet. :D

I want to mention this before I forget about it: did anyone else notice when Willow was talking to Giles about some of the witches in the coven who seemed afraid of her, she mentioned the name "Harkness?" I'm willing to bet that was a subtle nod to Agatha Harkness, the elderly witch who was Franklin Richards' babysitter in The Fantastic Four. (Agatha Harkness was also one of the Scarlet Witch's mentors, if I remember correctly.)

Wow, I'll have to watch that part agian, as I missed that. I heard Willow mention a name but it didn't connect with anything.

I liked this episode. I think it did a good job of setting things up for the season. Obviously, it's to early to say much on that until it all comes to pass this spring.

Yeah, that struck me as soon as I saw it, too. I thought exactly the same thing (and yes, you remember correctly).

I can easily say that I enjoyed it more than most episodes last season, which were so unrelentingly dark as to be depressing after a point. Too much of last season seemed like just beating up the cast...and the comedy couldn't pull it off as effectively, since too much darkness drowned it out.

This struck a nice balance, confidently introduced new information and provided many potential plot points and new story arcs. I loved the 'morphy thing'. It was very well done.

Quick question, since my memory is loose: how was the Hellmouth originally closed?

So, any ideas on what that beginning Istanbul thing is all about?

Yes, but if what I've read is accurate, this is an actual, honest-to-goodness spoiler.

You still here? It's a spoiler. Really.

Are you sure? Last chance to turn back...

Okay, here it is.

According to something I read on one of the various Buffy spoiler sites, the woman we saw die is a "Slayer-in-Training." (Remember, Buffy was an unusual case; most of the time, the Watchers know who the Slayers will be before they're called, and start their training early.) Apparently, she's not the only potential Slayer being murdered, either. This is going to be a plot point, although I don't know when or who's doing it.

Of course, this could all be one of Joss Whedon's famous "fake spoilers," but it's what I've read.

Extra space provided so people who skipped this message don't accidentally look up and see it.
