The Invasion of Mori OOC [3.5][planar][PAUSED]

Nope they are Monstrous Humaniods, however I was thinking that during the Second Battle of Antric, he fell into service with one of the Absyal Lords. During the years after the war he served well under this lord until Derwydden killed his Lord and spared his life only if he pledge his allaigence to him. And so he did. Despite being treated like dung on a shoe by his peers, he continues to faithfully serve his Lordship, often succeding where his peers have failed.

If it is no good I can draft something else up. I just thought a fiendish gargoyle was pretty cool.

That looks like a compelling backstory. One thing to note is that it has not been years since the Second Battle but rather a matter of weeks. Furthermore, there was no other abyssal lord involved in this invasion, but perhaps he served one of the other high-ranking demons who was torn apart in the battle, and now serves Derwydden directly.

Anyhow, tweaks aside, I'd like to see the characters up and running. For the sake of ease I'm going to pull the teleport deployment card.

The Wiki has been updated a bit. It will now allow nonmembers to edit the discussion pages and post in them (sheesh, tell me these things! :p )

I'd like to see people start making posts in the IC thread. :) If you're incoming, describe yourself and your reaction upon being teleported to the aftermath of a sorcerous battle. Obviously, don't describe anything that you aren't sure will be in your final edit.

I'm looking to get the RP rolling, after which we're looking at possibly one more fight and then a new plot arc.

SO do you just want me to post up and submit a ruff draft later?

Ideally I'd like both within the next few days. However, if you know you are, in broad terms, going to play a gargoyle specializing in melee, that's probably enough to determine a personality and talk to people.

When putting up a rough draft it's okay to decide your levels/feats first and fill in your skill points and gp expenditures later. Obviously we will need those before combat, but you can post the skeletal build first.

Ooh! If its not too late I'd like to rejoin too. I was sad to see this go on hiatus, such an awesome concept for a game. I'm off to check out the wiki now.

I do see the argument that RAW there is no other cost listed for unusual material components.

I suppose we can say there isn't one. I would still like to reserve the right to reject anything really potentially crazy, like XP draining spells (wish, etc.) :)

Nothing too crazy with Limited Wish out of the picture. ;)

PS: You listed "DR 5/Bludgeoning&Magic&Silver." Why magic and silver?

Being a skeleton grants DR 5/Bludgeoning.

Spellstitched creatures with 10 or more HD gain DR 5/Magic and Silver.

Given that DR overlaps instead of stacking, that translates to DR 5/Bludgeoning&Magic&Silver.

I'll try and have a more complete draft posted today and post IC either late today or early tomorrow.

Ah, gotcha. I usually list those as two separate DR values and then consult both.

Thanks.
