The Invasion of Mori OOC [3.5][planar][PAUSED]

Ya know, it occurs to me we have a lot of overlap in the social department. We have Gabriel, who I designed as a manipulator, diplomat, tormentor, and corruptor, Sillhouette, who's a beguiler, and then this diplomat person, who apparently does some similar things. I have magic items and spells to further those themes in Gabriel that I haven't even touched yet too. This is going to be kind of interesting.

Yar. Loriel was originally going to be more of an assassin than a social worker...didn't pan out too well. :)

I think Gabriel and Silhouette will work well though, because they have very different modes of operation, or at least seem to. Gabriel seems like he'd be ideal for a public face, charming and delighting the people openly. Silhouette works best when no one knows she's working at all. She'd be the other half of the social network, the underside...sneaking and seducing and blackmailing.

Not to say Gabriel can't do any of that too...or that Sil can't appear in public (with the appropriate disguises). Just that's sort of how they seem to naturally operate.

As for the diplomat...not sure. We kind of need to work out a plan once this sidequest is done with. As a group, we're not really heavy on heavy hitters (though we have some). Which makes sense, since our mission is to be fairly subtle, at least at first.

Despite being a rogue, Snargle is not really subtle, he's a big fiendish troll. Also despite having a great strength three natural attacks, rend, and sneak attack, he's not really a heavy hitter as half his levels are sunk into LA, he's got only one class level he's working with. He is great at soaking up damage and moving on again and again though and evasion is only one level up away.

A Feral Gargoyle is no different than the Fiendish Troll as it is not the most subtitle creature in the realm. It has a high AC, Fast Healing 8 and some damage capability but its really shines when there is no ceiling. Providing arial support/combat is what it is built for.

Question! I remember you mentioning something about leveling. Has that happened already, or will it take place after we're done in the kobold kaverns of diskord?

I intend for leveling and sheet adjustment to occur in one big fell swoop after the kobold arc.

Quick question about kobold tunnel sizes.

Wasn't there some reason Snargle had to get down to medium size to enter the tunnels previously? Is that no longer an issue for getting out?

I'm happy to go back to big size for ease of using his normal stat block if it won't create problems necessitating leaving him behind because of kobold tunnels.

Thanks for the clarification, Mori.

Voa, I thought we were probably gonna teleport out of here...but I s'pose I'm not 100% sure of that. Do we still have a wizard or sorceror who can cast teleport handy?

My pleasure. Thanks for asking.

You currently have the noncombatant Teleporting Cultist.

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions, too. I realize that very often some things seem clear to a DM that are not clear at all to the players. :)

Bloodweaver1,

Thanks for posting frequently. There's one small thing I thought I would bring to your attention.

[sblock]I don't care about spelling/grammar in OOC, but just so you're aware, your last post in the IC thread had three errors in two sentences - "takes confort" and "change his sword in its altenate bow form." (Should be "comfort" and "to its alternate.") More than one error per sentence is a little bit high. I don't want to be too demanding, but it would be great if you could tighten that up a bit. I know that Firefox underlines typos in red so it's easier to spot them, if that helps.

I'm certainly prepared to overlook the occasional error. I just wanted to mention it before it becomes an ongoing thing.[/sblock]

The diplomat is . . . well, you'll see. But I intend for it to be interesting! :D
