The Invasion of Mori OOC [3.5][planar][PAUSED]

As far as I'm aware Snargle is not currently injured. He has a ring of fire resistance 20.

Hmmm. I thought you were just very slightly injured. This is the only significant fire damage in the last fight:

One of the mirrored mages casts haste, while the other tosses a fireball that catches Snargle, Drax, and the lone fire elemental in its area. Both of those mages shift position slightly to better enable the fire elementals to protect them. [53 fire damage; Drax takes no damage due to ring of evasion; Snargle saves for half.]

53/2 = 26, leaving 6 fire damage past resistance.

I missed that in reviewing the combat thread, I only noticed the negligible oil damage.

Duly noted.

OK, I don't know how many of us want to continue the present RP, but for those of us who have logged on, had nothing to add, and left again, please post something (even if it's just about how your character yawns and is bored with this stupid conversation.) ;)

Thanks. I'm just trying to get a feel for how the party is approaching; I have everything set up but don't want to go forward before everyone has had a chance to do whatever they want to do or say whatever they want to say - particularly about how to treat the enemy.

We don't even know what the enemy is yet. I was kind of hoping for some more info...

Or maybe I missed an update...

Well, as a group, you guys haven't walked down there yet, so I haven't described it. :D I was kind of hoping to develop the brewing intraparty drama a bit. If everyone wants to move on I will wrap things up and move us on down.

After all, I have two heaping helpings of plot to serve. ;)

EDIT: Oh, I should point out that the worm that walks is indeed the kobold sorcerer that leads the clan, which Kaelvorr saw when combing memories.

moritheil, I have a request, could we get a list of exactly who's in the party and who and what they're playing? At least what they seem to be playing outwardly? Because the Rogue's Gallery has like a dozen character sheets and not everyone puts their name in the title of their posts (I'm guilty of this as well), so I'm still fuzzy as to even how big the party is, let alone who and what is in it! That's part of the reason Gabriel couldn't articulate a more specific marching order.

Yeah, sorry. It would really be best if they gave DMs edit powers over their RG threads, but in any case:

Rose - melee
Kelteror - melee
Kaelvorr - caster
Gabriel - bard
Silhouette - caster
Snargle - melee
Gargoyle - melee
Aldred - cleric
NPC Diplomat - caster

Drax and the Teleporting Cultist exist, but they are effectively noncombatants - maybe they're preparing the bodies and loot to go. (I don't want to increase the party size to double digits and I'm not really comfortable with the idea of running more than 2 party members, one of whom is an NPC.) Hanaav will henceforth be essentially a shopkeeper to the party; Zaestilan and Zox Pox may turn up as sources of information.

Maug, Arxas, Vedak, and others are presumably serving in the Abyss.

I am copying the lineup over to the RG thread for future use.

Specifically, Silhouette is a Beguiler. She'll be more useful when we're not fighting vermin.

Mori, the diplomat confuses me. Who sent her? Was she with the cult?

The diplomat is an old acquaintance of Roillard's here on official business from a far-off land. I suppose I should have had people make knowledge checks without being prompted, but the land she hails from, the Festering Realm, is overrun by undead. Thus her offer to Gabriel, who is apparently (from her POV) looking to acquire undead. (Although I guess I didn't make it clear enough in this thread after we started up again, I did post a summary in the Wiki Plot page that mentioned those details. ;) )

A veiled lady from The Festering Realms, far to the south, arrived as part of a diplomatic overture from its ruler. Once a golden place of beauty, Al-Enuin is now a dark land overrun with undead. Roillard welcomed her in polite tones, using a title she did not present. Do the two have some prior history?

I've ported most of the pantheon over to the Wiki from its original place on the old website. I feel like I should have a more finished version (that one is from 2005 and the campaign that took place in the world of Mori then) but this ought to be vastly better than nothing. Feel free to check out the implications of who Izzwn and Cela really are.

Edit: I realize that one of the powers, ":P" is not exactly serious. That's how the campaign was. Assume for now that the proper name of this power is pronounced "symbol" and the :P just happens to be its personal sigil. (The rest of the entry is pretty normal insofar as deities of knowledge and learning go, if you ignore the symbol :P)

Mew. I need to bookmark that site.

Thanks for the link. :)

Question! I remember you mentioning something about leveling. Has that happened already, or will it take place after we're done in the kobold kaverns of diskord?
