The Mandalorian & Grogu Trailer

Cool poster. Certainly leaning into those pulpy vibes.

I'm still bitter about an all-time line -- "This is a rebellion, isn't it? I rebel." -- being left on the cutting room floor.
I HATE that you can see the "seam" in R1 where all the corporate fiddling was done. Both protagonists have unearned changes of heart. It is a blip. I love the film overall. But that bit bugs me still.

I would LOVE to see a special edition re-release of R1 post Andor, which just enough reintegrated scenes and minor edits to make it truly the capstone of Andor it deserves to be.

"Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Grogu as himself" LOL

Some editing decisions baffle me. For instance, in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, they justifiably cut Chris Pratt's "Everyone loves a dummy!" punchline that was in the trailer, but they left in the "Is he a ventriloquist?" setup. Like ... why not just remove the whole bit? Leaving in the setup without the punchline just makes it stand out.

Hmm. Yes, that would be nice!

If nothing else, they could fix up Bail Organa's hair and beard coloring! (They made Benjamin Bratt [Andor] look older than Jimmy Smits [Rogue One, Obi-Wan Kenobi], when it should be the other way around.)

They could also take another pass at CGI Tarkin and Leia - that tech has come a long way since Rogue One came out.

That checks out. It's The Wire of Star Wars. Beloved by critics and a probably small-to-medium audience, but too much for many other fans. (Seriously, The Wire is amazing, but don't have any phones nearby when you're watching it; you will need to pay attention.)

The point I was trying to make was more along the line of casual SW fans outnumbering the hardcore ones, rather than any particular aspect of the show itself. Also, at least here, not a lot of people seem to have Disney+.

At least amongst the younger generations, I don't think "Star Wars" carries much more clout than "Grogu". Its just stuff old people like, like Elvis.
