Not your screen monkey (he/him)
Exactly. She can get the same elsewhere (Force secrets etc), barring a few talent tress like the Lightsaber forms talent trees (who is teaching her advanced lightsaber forms at present anyway).

It's no different to 3.5. Im not letting a PC take levels in (for example) the Ruby Knight Vindicator PrC unless they're a member of that Knightly Order, and worship Wee Jas. A PC (or NPC) that left the faith (and renounced their Knighthood) doesnt get to take levels in it.
Which would be relevant for a game YOU run, but means nothing for games we participate in or for the SWSE game system in general.

So, don't "usually" become masters until, means that you don't actually have to do that to be a master. Even if she is not a member of the order, she is still trained in the Jedi tradition, so should be able to progress in it.

So we have someone who while she isn't a member of the order, is a member of the tradition, has achieved the rank of Knight, even if she quit before it becoming official, and doesn't need to train anyone to become a master.

Sounds like she could take the levels if she wanted. :p

She probably could if she wanted to.

SWSE specifically lays out how to become one.

You can rule differently but you're in houserule territory.

It's not that she can't became a Jedi Knight she doesn't seem to want to.

Those rules I cited are from the SWSE game system, so nope.

The actual position is the other way around; YOU can rule differently in YOUR games, but according to the game system in general, I'm actually correct.

This argument about who can take what levels in a defunct game system is getting really tedious and I’m suffering flashbacks to the days when these same arguments occurred ad nauseum on the old SWSE boards on the WotC forums.

Can we please give it a rest?

D6 says something similar.

You can play a Jedi in Imperial era, good luck with it though.
