I think you nailed it right there.. Most people are still learning the game, but it seems to me that once one has it under his or her belt, there'll be less to reference.

Regarding condition tracking, Dragon Avenue have some fantastic "name plaque" style cards with the rules for each on both sides so the player and DM can see the state of play. They also have some good power cards etc..

Yeah but in 3e spellcasters were complicated enough that I avoided them entirely for the most part. :)
