The Old School: AD&D 1e

As Austin works he asks the warrior elf, " which was more unpleasant: the paralysis or being forced to listen to the dogma of my beliefs?" If any one is within sight of his face, he has the biggest grin that anyone has ever seen on the priest.

"The paralysis," notes the elf in response. He smiles. "I've learned to tune you out when you begin to spout the words of your faith."

"Oy, but that hurts! I swear, this path to knighthood is already harder than my imaginings. In my mind I saw myself at worst dying fighting valiantly in battle, perhaps against a creature like that walking dead thing. I never imagined I might see the end because of something so ignoble as a voracious earth worm with teeth."

The Sarge allows the healer to bandage up his wound before also retrieving his weapon. Although he is a bit worse for wear, he glows with the knowledge that he is at least alive.

Austin pauses long enough to turn and give him a fake look of hurt. Then smiles and returns to tending to the fallen comrade.

"Truly Sargent Stubbs, it twould have seemed an ignoble end," says Amirad as he collects his weapons. "But as you have fought, and acted with courage, their could be no shame in such an end. Fortunately it did not come to that."

He walks to stand directly infront of the good dwarf, holding his torch high and to the side. He lays a hand gently on the burn which immediately seems to cool as he says, "By the grace of Solinar given to me as his holy warrior, I do heal your wound."

He pauses and smiles, "Not quite as good as new but it should help. We are lucky that the lady recognized the creature."

(OOC: Sarge recovers 2hp)

Amirad jaw clenches briefly at Turthain's comment, then shrugs it off as simple banter.

As the others start to look around, Lidia goes over and carefully examines the hole that the creature came from. She actually wants to look down it but wants to make sure that it mate is not in there first.

Amirad joins Austin in looking at Zhantain. "Well Zhantain had some psionic abilities. Maybe it made him vulnerable to some sort of attack the rest of us simply didn't notice. I've heard of such things happpening."

Amirad chews on his lip briefly. "Still not sure how that helps us."

"We need to contune on, but how do we keep him with us?"

OOC: if there others 'ghosting ' about, could we delegate him to their ability to carry him for now?

OOC: I won't be carrying much (elf magic-user). I'll be much too busy in between encounters studying my spells and awaiting the next stroke of genius.
