The Old School: AD&D 1e

(OOC: Sorry, I had a busy weekend, and it involved reorganizing and getting my books where I couldn't easily get at them. I'll update things tonight/tomorrow.)

Sgt. Stubbs looks over where the zombie last struck him, and his attacks utterly fail to connect with the writhing beast as he notices a juicy worm of some kind eating its way into the wound!

(Initiative)

Amirad and Turthain set to work destroying the beast, and manage to dispatch it, but not before the creature secretes its tentacles all over Turthain!

(Save vs. Paralyzation 4 times, or be paralyzed...)

Lidia thankfully notes that nothing else emerges from the holes in the walls.

Seeing the strange worm burying into Sarge, and worried that there might be more of them Amirad leaps for the sputtering torch that he cast aside earlier. He drops his bastard sword as he scoops the flaming brand up. He quickly checks Turthain's frozen form for any of the insects and then examines the floor, beeing sure to keep his immobolized companion safe. He burns any he finds and intends to burn the bodies of the zombies if at all possible.

"I'll look for the any more of the creatures, someone help Sarge and Zhantain."
 


Amirad starts checking his wounds and the floor. He confirms that he and Turthain do not have worms crawling onto themselves. He finds another worm oozing out of a sore on the zombie miner's corpse and sets it alight. It writhes in agony as it dies. He finds that there are additional maggots, worms, and other creatures infesting the zombies.
