[sblock=OOC]
Hmm that kind of damage seems best left to the chance of a cure light wounds. I think I'll just attack this round. [/sblock]

Amirad attempts to put an end to at least one of the Zombies unatural life.

Turthain, having attempted to move around the zombies, thrusts his sword at the back of one of the undead...

OOC: Attempting backstab, if positioning allows it. Natural 1, definite miss.

Although she keeps making quick glances to check on the progress of the zombie fight, most of Lidia's attention is on the tunnel and whatever is approaching down it.

Stubbs and Turthain fail to strike a meaningful blow on one of the zombies, but Amirad the Gallant slices through his opponent, who falls lifeless to the floor.

The zombie swings back, striking solidly against the dwarf!

Lidia watches in horror as a writhing mass of tentacles emerge from the tunnel, the gaping head of a giant arthropod energing behind it, followed by a segmented, centipede-like body, about two feet in diameter and extending into the tunnel.

Turthain again strikes with his longsword, against the single zombie that is still standing.

OOC: Again, attempting backstab, if positioning allows it. And again, a natural 1. WTF?

Lidia watches in horror as a writhing mass of tentacles emerge from the tunnel, the gaping head of a giant arthropod energing behind it, followed by a segmented, centipede-like body, about two feet in diameter and extending into the tunnel.

OOC: player save vs freak out!
fail!
*argh! Cathulahu!!!*

Amirad's eyes widen in surprise at the monsters appearance, he had heard tales of this foul creature from his father. "Keep back from the beast if possible!"

His blades strike out at zombie flesh.
