Spoilers The Pitt Season 2 Discussion

I’m all for Langdon redemption arc, but santos and Robby remain the final bosses!

With respect, I feel she's overstepping her bounds, probably for personal reasons that have not been revealed.

If she would rather his life been ruined, then she doesn't understand recovery.

Is it realistic? I'm sure it absolutely is, but yeah considering what a hot topic that is right now, I think they could have gone one step softer on the approach.

I mean, the least realistic thing about that sequence was the idea that ICE would bring someone in for treatment.

Another interesting scene between Robbie and Mohan, and I continue to love the complexity of Pitt characters. I love Robbie, but man he is going HARD on Mohan right now. When she says "maybe I don't belong here"....he doesn't correct her or support her, he just leaves it silent in the air. OOF! Maybe that is actually how he feels, Mohan shouldn't be an ER doctor.

What? No! Dr. Robbie is trying to save Mohan's life.

Dr. Robbie sees way, way too much of his younger self in Mohan.
And Dr. Robbie is suicidal.

You got that, right? He's going on a three-month motorcycle tour and he rides without a helmet? E.R. doctors have a name for people who ride without a helmet. That name is, "Organ Donor".
His joke to Whitaker about taking his apartment if he doesn't come back? Not so much a joke.
His night-shift veteran friend, questioning him being alone with his thoughts for that long? Not joking, either.

Dr. Robbie is currently on the way to leaving on sabbatical, and then, one sunny day, riding without a helmet, putting his foot on the gas, and drifting off the road into a bridge abutment. Maybe not consciously, but...

He's treating Mohan like that because he's trying to keep her from ending up like him - he's stellar at the job, but he's broken. Driving her out of the ER would, to his way of thinking, save her life.

The problem with ICE officers "just doing their jobs" is that a great deal going on with ICE these days is abnormal - it's abnormally violent, abnormally disruptive, abnormally intrusive into areas where their touch had been substantially lighter. Not portraying that would just be propagandizing on their behalf.
All of which is shown in the reaction of the hospital to the ICE team before that arrest.

You don't have to convince me that ICE is bad, my point is, when you highlight the problem with a solid but lighter touch, you get discussion. But when you push it to "see see...this guys are BAD BAD BAD"....than you just get into accusations of bias and propanganda and favoritism and it detracts from teh actual debate that should be had.

Tbf, honestly if you work in medicine and you ride a motorcyle, your already a bit crazy.

My dad was an Ortho Surgeon. I made a joke when I turned 16 that I wanted to get a motorcycle, and he decided to nip that in the bud. Took me in to watch a man in such an accident get put back together piece by piece.

Motorcyles are cool as hell, but at the end of the day its a death machine. When you get in a car accident, the car takes the vast majority of the impact. When its a motorcyle....you do.

I know that is a side tangent to your principal point. Obviously we are supposed to take it that Robbie is unhinged. I think its a step too far though to say he's "protecting" Mohan. I could see the possibility, I could just as easily see its him lashing out in anger. He's not in full control of himself is the key.

Robbie is absolutely unhinged. They’ve clearly demonstrated that in all the ways @Umbran has laid out. And yeah, it’s why he’s attacking Mohan. But there’s no way his flying off the handle at Mohan is in anyway trying to save her.

Contrast his actions with her and the nice, friendly chat he had with Whitaker about the absolute need to set boundaries. That’s how you stop someone from becoming you…not ranting at them like a madman.
