Has anyone been following the advances and exploits of the many folks vying for the X-Prize? Who do you think will win? Can you use this material for a d20 Modern game? Would a similarly organized contest be useful in a d20 fantasy game as a plot?

If I had to put money on it, I'd go with Scaled Composites. Burt Rutan knows his stuff. Plus, his designs just look too cool for words

Oh, of course. I had once considered doing an Alternity game on such a theme. Imagine all these people vying for flight... and there's already someone up there.

If you want to keep your feet on the ground, there's espionage surrounding the contest...
