Dungannon said:
Devlin puts his arm around the woman. "Calm down, Brigit. Take a deep breath and let's start from the beginning. Who had you? And when did they get you?"
Brigit snuggled up against the lean adventurer. "Su-sure", she answered. "Kamdar and Jobe had me...they wouldn't let me go. I think they let me get away, they must have thought they'd have a better chance of getting the orb that way. Um, can we go someplace private? I've been out here in the street all morning, wondering what I was going to do."

Devlin pats her on the shoulder in a there, there, my dear way as he escorts her into the inn and up to their room. Once inside, he offers her a seat. "They are devilish men, Brigit, how did you escape them?"

As the three entered the room, they realized with a start that they were not alone. Seated against the far wall and looking quite at ease was Kamdar Fatwon, his tusks protruding through the smile on his face. Covering them from the corner of the room was Jobe Brimbor, armed with yet another crossbow. A hiss was heard as Brigit drew breath sharply, Ryland and Devlin's nervous eyes darted to Jobe and then back to Kamdar. The bulky half-orc motioned them into the room as if he was welcoming an old friend, or at least an old business partner.

"Fatwon, good to see you. I assume you have the money. We're getting a little tired of dealing with you, and you're little friend over there.", Ryland says nodding towards Jobe. "Put the crossbow down. Anything happens to us, you don't get the orb"

Fatwon waved off Brimbor: "Never mind, Jobe." The foppish elf kept his weapon in hand, but lowered to aim at a spot on the floor. Kamdar hoisted a heavy sack, and placed it on a small table in front of him with a jingling thunk. "One thousand Orussus Dragons, in ten smaller bags of 100, for easier counting", he announced. Ryland recalled that in Orussus, a "Dragon" was made of nearly pure platinum.
