The Treasure of the Tierra Padre... [Knight Otu Judging]

The night passes uneventfully, and dawn breaks cool and clear.

OOC: A Warning... Round about monday or so, I'm heading off on vacation for about a week. That's means I'll be incommunicato until August.

Refreshed after several hours of trance, Oirhandir helps prepare a quick breakfast before striking camp. He keeps an eye out for Norman, hoping the youth's sullen mood has changed.

When it seems that the party is just moments away from mounting up and departing, the elf addresses the group. "Would all of you lend me your ears?", he asks. "We should decide which way we ride. I suggest that we cross at this bridge while we can and proceed up the south bank. The River Roares is swift and deep here, and we know not if there is a better place to ford upstream. What say you all?"

"I say that you are saying nothing that I have not mentioned before. I have been caught in too many situations where we had to back track to a bridge miles out of our way because we failed to cross when we had the chance. Let us cross here."OOC, thanks for at least saying that you are going out of town, I am still waiting after two weeks for someone o come back and finish DMing the other adventure I am in.,

Due to a number of non-LEW related factors, I’m going to be leaving EN World entirely, pretty much immediately. I’m very sorry for any disruption this causes due to games I’m running or involved with, especially after my recent posting slowdown. If another DM or a judge would be willing to finish out the games I have, I’d be happy to provide any spoilers or plans that would be helpful in that. My characters can be NPCed until the end of their current adventures, or if anyone would like them, feel free to ask. I will still be available for limited email gaming or play by post on other boards (I’m at randomling’s house sometimes) if anyone has enjoyed my play style sufficiently to look me up.

Sorry again for the seemingly sudden nature of this decision, and for any problems my leaving causes. I was hoping to get my games finished up before it came to this, but it was not to be.

To follow up on any of the above, please AIM me or email my yahoo account Kahuna_burger73.

OOC: I'm back! I'll get a new post up ASAP, but after having been camping 7500 feet up in the mountains for a week and a half, it may take a day or two until we're settled in.

OOC: So... Is there a consensus or a decision on which direction to go?

To sum up... The roads on the old map don't quite match those on the new map. You've run across a well-used campsite near a bridge crossing the River Roaring. Nearby there is a short stone pillar with worn, illegible, ancient writing on it, and a mostly unused dirt path through the woods with a few bits of gravel and broken cobblestone on it.

OoC: We cross the river and continue on the South bank, or at least that was the plan I believe.

OoC: That would be 3 votes out of 6, or 5 if Katherine is being NPC'd. Up to now I've been playing Oirhandir as if he didn't know about the path leading east from the camp, since he was checking out the view from the bridge and the marker while Katherine and Eruin were discovering the path.
