Pbartender: [sblock]Iggy swims down toward the cavern floor, but keeps going ahead. His hope is that if his friends start to pull him out, he'll be able to grab the other end of Rogier's severed rope and perhaps pull it out as well. Currently, it would be too restrictive of his swimming to grab. Proud of his swimming effort, he keeps on pushing towards the light.[/sblock]

Rogier:
[SBLOCK]Knowing he won't have much of a chance versus a creature above him, Rogier dives under water, trying to dodge the next blob of acid from the creature.[/SBLOCK]

Rogier dives head long back into the pool, plunging all the way to the bottom of the deep pool. Below him, he can see the rope, still tied about this waist, coiling up on the bottom of the pool. It leads the way back down the tunnel from which he arrived.

Only ten feet away, a small humanoid is desperately paddling its way up the tunnel. It looks up at Rogier...

It's Iggy!

Combat Summary: Rogier dives into the water, and successfully makes a DC 10 Swim check (17 +2 = 19) to swim 15 feet down.

Rogier is still at 14 hp.

Iggy, distracted by the sight of the rope, flounders his way another ten feet along. He can't be more than ten feet away from the tunnel's end, when feels as much as hears a splash, as if someting heavy being dropped into the water up ahead.

The flickering light filtering down through the water, swiftly brightens, and a humanoid holding a sunrod comes into view at the end of the tunnel. It looks down at Iggy...

It's Rogier!

Round 5:

Swim check (DC 10): 11 -1 = 10.
Listen check (DC 3): 5 -1 = 4.

Iggy:

[sblock]Shocked, a burst of bubbles escape from Iggy's mouth at the sight of his friend. Iggy continues swimming towards him. If Rogier is in trouble, at least he could hold the rope so that they could both be pulled back together.[/sblock]

 

[Gurdjieff]

Rogier:

[SBLOCK]Holding his hand like a claw while showing his teeth to Iggy, Rogier points with his other hand to the surface. He's hopes to get the message across that something is up there, and it isn't very happy to see them.[/SBLOCK]

Rogier & Iggy

[SBLOCK]
Rogier plays a bit of underwater charades to get across the point that there is something with sharp teeth and claws waiting for them above.

Too shocked to see Rogier alive and too distressed to see his head blistered with angry red welts and small hairless patches of scalp, Iggy flounders momentarily in the water, unable to make any progress toward his friend.

Convinced that Ignatious's lungs were about to burst, Oirhandir nervously checked the tension in the rope one last time before reeling it back in.

OoC: Just wanted to check here...from Oirhandir and Almayce's perspective, less than one minute has elapsed since Iggy dove in, and there has been more or less steady tension on the rope as he's swam down the tunnel, right? It's hard to know if our actions are still in synch with the reality of the game when all I have to go by is two weeks of "Spoiler...Spoiler...Spoiler...Spoiler..."
