No, definately not how Batman should be.

not sure which version you watched, but Clark Bartram most assuredly did not have a potbelly. as for the costume, in the "making of" clip, the director explains how he wanted to make a batman as he would appear if he were real. now taking everything into consideration, (budget included) i'd say he did one hell of a job! they go through great pains to make the whole thing look very gritty.

sure, there a few parts of it that are a lil hokey but for the most part, they a VERY few and far between. c'mon, that scene where Bats jumps down off he building, and the camera looks down on him from above as he's crouched in the alley with his cape spread out around him is one of the best live action depictions i've seen.

one thing's for sure, you'll never hear this batman say: "It's the car right? Chics dig the car." *ugh* that still bothers me.
