Yes, it would. It also potentially gives the playtest Warlock access to spells that the 5e Warlock wouldn't have.In 5e mystic arcanum at level 5 would be completely redundant with pact magic.
Crappy spells. You get fireball at 9th level, as opposed to 5th when the damage is significant. All hybrid casters suffer from using full caster's hand me downs many levels after they were relevant. You're still blasting every round because otherwise you're the chump casting a first level burning hands for 9 damage.Does it, though? You'll actually be able to cast spells more often instead of just spamming Eldritch Blast every round!
Let Hex be at-will and work on spells.Crappy spells. You get fireball at 9th level, as opposed to 5th when the damage is significant. My fear is with this new "simplified" lists of arcane divine primal, we wont see class specific spellsIf there were more hybrid spells that were GOOD at the level hybrids got them, it would be different. This warlock is 2 level dip material to pick up fighter DPS, then bounce back to full caster.
Against one target. Burning Hands rises to a lofty 13 damage, save for half, vs 2d10+8.Let Hex be at-will and work on spells.
So it will boost the damage of burning hands and the like.
