Being swallowed whole on more than 50% of the conmbats that the PC has been in.
It was funny for a while... now it's just sad.
(And now that I have written this Wizardru will start having tiny things fly in MY mouth and try to kill me from inside.)

I think I need to develope a PRc for an infighter.

My PCs get irritated by long periods without any action.

If too long is spent role-playing encounters with NPCs, my players start to get antsy and wondering when they'll be able to find someone to fight. :D
I'm the same way. I have deal with people all week. I want some action, dammit! ;-)

right now, our party is mostly first level characters, a second level palladan and a non-conbatant npc we're escorting. last session, we ran away from a group of 5 rather large orcs and what looked like baby displacer beasts. Whoot. Running like heck through a cornfield. Well... At least we survived the encounter. ;) and like the man says if you survive, you're ahead.

Pity we don't have a party mage.... ahh well. If my character dies, I'm going for cleric or sorcerer. ^)^

*Rattle Rattle*

Die rolls they can hear me make but don't know what the reason or the result was... and I do that a lot.

Player "I lean against the tree to rest for a moment"
Me "Ok" (dice can be heard)
Player "Well I didn't actually 'touch' the tree"
Me "Oh, ok, my bad" (more dice fall)

  • Monsters that they can't crit. They hate this more than anything else in the world! *EG*

  • Boy, ain't that the truth. The fighter (scimitar specialist) groans, the rogue/dragon disciple whines, the bard/arcane archer despairs, and the ranger/deepwood sniper growls.
The monk and the cleric don't really seem to mind though.

Heh. Did I mention one recurring enemy is swampthing with treant-like minions and they're about to experience a massive invasion of undead? Did I also mention that both of these events can be directly traced back to the PCs? Oh yeah, life is good.

Personally, I hate DMs that can't calculate CR, don't read critter's special abilities until mid-game, and don't pay attention to treasure distribution.

Grrr, the treasure thing bothers me the most. In one game we had twice the GP of treasure we should for our level but it was concentrated in 3 magic items that were worth 90% of our loot. This was a problem for a party of 6.

My players (and consequently, PCs) seem to hate grappling:

"I have to what? Screw that, I bash him!"

Oh, and they really hate it when I say "Hmmm... I didn't know it could do that" when referencing a monster's stats. Boy, do they hate that.
