Clever, huh?

Clever, but I would have done it for $18.50.

Tired of D&D? Doubt that will ever happen, although I did stray to Champions for a number of years, but 3e and the d20 system brought me back into the fold.

Tired of d20? Nope. But then, I don't really get to play d20 a lot. There are more d20 games, settings, and ideas that interest me than I will ever even get the time to read, much less play. I have an online group (WebRPG) that games once a month at best, and Olgar Shiverstone's game also meets irregularly, more like once every 6 weeks. My only regularly scheduled game is diaglo's, and that is far from d20.

But I would have done it for $25, so maybe not so clever!
;)
But I'm not as cheap as Joe Blank

Not tired of playing either D20 games or D&D 3.5 at the moment, but I only restarted gaming in 2003 so not really enough time for either to become stale and I have played BRP CoC as well this year.

For D20 I want to do some stuff based on D20 Modern like Iron Lords of Jupiter, also want to play more Conan RPG.

barsoomcore, is this true, or are you just kidding? If it is not true, then I my question still stands: Why was the question asked? And why was it loaded?

I wandered out of d20 about three months ago. I'm setting up a Unisystem-D&D hybrid now to get the feel I'm looking for.

Slightly. Wouldn't know what else I'd like to run though. I have a love/hate relationship with the feats/tactical side of D&D. I am a piss poor non-combat/non-dungeon DM, because regardless of what system I run, the plot is going to be thin, clichéd and transparent.

Now, when I am a player, I love to be tactical and be very into combat. As a DM however, the whole tracking initiative, hit points for multiple foes etc. as well as always having to be on the losing side of the screen slowly fatigues me.

I was going to switch to Grim Tales (for really gritty combat might make things more exciting for both me and my players), but I attracted 2 new players and the rules are just going to be a bit too complicated for them.

I'm a player in a game next tuesday though, for the first time in ages! Might cure my fatigue.
