To Catch a Crimelord, or Down the Rabbit Hole (garyh judging)

"The dark ones? One group taking eyes, and the dwarves taking people? I thought I left barbarians back at Bacarte!"

Grim strokes his chin.

"Tell us more about these dark ones. Who, and what, are they?"

I say we get on the road. With our appearance we are sure to attract the attention of these dark ones. Georg looks over at Kruk and Raiyek briefly. We have not had much luck being sneaky, so today I am ready for a fight.

[sblock=OOC] I have my spellbook selections listed in my signature. Combat heavy.

"I don't know much of them, just what those they got told us. I'm sorry" Chief Kniva replies.

On the road again?

Georg - what makes you think combat's coming?

"Well then...let's be off...favor for a favor...err...someone can tell me what we have to do when we get on the road. I like taking orders." Kruk states with a stern face.

"How far is the journey to the place where tribute is taken and which direction does it lie? We should make sure of our provisions, but I also have a ritual to make our camp comfortable and secure." Georg checks his rations and ritual components, which seem to be as fully stocked as when he started adventuring. With a small look over his shoulder he realizes how far they are from Daunton.

[sblock=OOC] Well our "Leader" is the newest member of the group, Oni :) I guess it is up to the Controller to lead? Though a fight isn't NECESSARY, renau1g.[/sblock]

"Don't worry, Georg," Raiyek says quietly and comfortingly, laying a hand on the dwarf's shoulder. "You get used to being this far from home, trust me. I've been so far from 'home' for so long I'm not sure where to call home anymore," he says with a smile and a chuckle. "Hermethys will give us a way back when we need it; best to keep our attention on what we need to do at the moment. And right now I suppose that's these dwarves and the dark ones."
[sblock=OOC]Ren, this is D&D. It's about killing things and taking their stuff. If there's not combat in our future, something is horribly wrong :p[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Yeah, it doesn't. But I didn't make that comment because I thought you were that oblivious. You're the DM, you're supposed to act innocent and try to lull us into a false sense of security before dropping the bomb (or dragon, more likely) on us ;)[/sblock]
