well, just to balance out that other thread....

1. chess? but, but, i can't min/max that!
2. couldn't find another use for all those minis
3. scoring babes and drinking brewskis is only thrilling for a while :p
4. it felt silly just talking as me
5. lack of real things i can bash the crap out of.

13) Inspired by the Lord of the Rings movies, but nowhere else to channel that energy.

Well, it's actually why I started playing RPGs again...

1. Saw LotR movies, re-read the books, got reinspired by the fantasy thing.

2. Earlier, I had started playing fastasy computer games a bit, including Balders Gate.

3. Read the 'Greyhawk adventures' novels which are based on classic D&D modules. As novels they rate from bad to OK, but they were very nostalgic reads. I actually got out maps of old modules to follow the novel.
