Total..er..partial..er somewhat chaos?

If you're interested in finding a new group, there's this forum for that sort of thing. I live about forty miles away from you, and I know a couple of campaigns around here that may need a new player, but I doubt that you would want to do that much driving.

I know someone up here who will probably be looking for a game soon enough, but he's really busy and even further from you.

If you're interested in any of this, then click on my name and send me a message.

The 5 items sounds fine to me, go dimension hopping and gods only know what can happen through those portals. Not any worse than the "body slots" used to determine how may items one can wear.
No. Not only gods know, but any planar traveller knows. With a planar travelling campaign, it had better be set up front that only 5 items can pass through any portal. I'd be sorely and righteously pissed at the obvious railroading and metagaming of the DM.

"And in other news, a man was found slaughtered in his home. Witnesses attributed this to yet another demonic perversion caused by the game Dungeons and Dragons. Here is Dr. Slock to explain this phenomena..."

Personally, The DM made a bad call unless he knew something you didn't (the sword wasn't the evil you thought it was? Only the church could have broken the illusion??). Best of luck on finding your new group. :)

You have my sympathies. I'd have a hard time even classifying that action as chaotic - disposing of an evil item on your own authority seems pretty straightforwardly Neutral Good to me.

And did anyone try just throwing the extra items through the portal? Or summoning monsters to carry them? :)

Did this DM tell you that? In that case, have fun with the eviscerating. And use a spoon.

Nah, just sue him/them over sexual discrimination, mental suffering/emotional anguish etc.

That way your are still in the right and they still end up facing the the blunt end of a spoon (and you will not get carted off to prison).

PS: If you see my sig, I DON'T think it would be a shame. ;)

Bull, and messing with players gear and loot is the worst fookin thing you can do to them. The 5 items baloony is a crime against players. Kill players, take xp, whatever its all cool. But..

do

not

mess

with

da

loot

EVA!

I actually disagree with this... I always have a little chuckle when another player looses a really expensive piece of equipment that they've been saving for for ages and only got to use once. :]

But of course if it's me that does the loosing then...
