Olga wears studded leather armor, a heavy wooden shield on her back, and a longsword at her side. She holds a shortbow in her two hands.

“Now entering the arena and starting at position 0N60E, this combatant measures 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He also has an overall record of one win, one loss, and zero draws. His last victory was over Neutral Good’s aasimar. Representing the forces of Neutral Evil, please welcome the tiefling Bisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssske!”

Biske wears studded leather armor, a light shield strapped to his back, and a sheathed rapier. His light crossbow is locked and loaded.

Psybo communicates telepathically to the two combatants. “OK you two, I will assume that Chaotic Neutral will have the initiative unless told otherwise.”

“Cue the music. Let’s get ready to rumbuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuull!”

Olga grins a very white-toothed smile, her teeth in stark contrast to her bright blue skin. She comments out loud, "Ah, so instead of pig they serve me a rat." She fires her shortbow. "Did you fall off one of the vendor's trays?" And then drops prone again.

Olga seems to have trouble with her falling prone manuever. Her arrow plows straight into the ground. (Rolled natural 1)

Biske laughs loudly and derisively. "I thought I would be facing a real warrior this time," he shouts as he walks calmly towards the center of the arena. "Not some clumsy blue runt." Grinning wickedly, the tiefling waves his free hand in an arcane pattern, and the now-familiar cloud of darkness spreads through the air.

Moving to 30N60E, using darkness spell-like ability, and Hiding at +5.

OOC - Rules questions

I don't think you can Hide after the standard action and you can't Hide while moving full speed without a -20 penalty. You can cast darkness first, but then your movement is halved and you get the -20 penalty unless you move 1/4 speed.

Moving to 30N60E, using darkness spell-like ability, and Hiding at +5.

OOC: I2K is correct. You can either cast the darkness first and move 5 feet to get the +5 Hide, or you can move first and cast the darkness and still get the 20% miss chance, but not the chance for total concealment. Or you can cast the darkness first, move 10 feet and get only a -5 penalty, so your Hide check is at +0. Olga has a -1 penalty to spot you for every 10 feet of distance between you and her.

Meh. I'll just take the concealment for now. My original action stands, minus the hiding.

Olga blushes a darker blue, not that anyone else would recognize it as such. Still, she feels better knowing she's in the semifinals against . . . rat soup. "Hey, rat bisque, I guess you finally found a way to make yourself look more handsome." She gets up into a kneeling position and fires off another shot.

"Now, if only you'd be kind of enough to fetch me a large mug o' ale and you might actually be passable."

Olga's second arrow looks better than the last one, but still bounces off Biske's armor. (Rolled 13-2 for long range = 11)
