Tournament of Champions CR .5 to 5 (Archive)

Fang is getting angry. You don't want to see Fang when he's angry.

Fang rages and makes another full attack, tripping weapons first. I have a feeling that this is it for Dr. J. ;)

J will calmly, efficiently, try to atomize his opponent with the TASER OF DOOOOOM!!!
(and if that doesn't work...then decide what to do next...)

Round 8

Fang is so upset he does not appear to make any effort to dodge the lightning (natural 1 Ref save) and takes 26 points of electrical damage. It turns out it does not matter if Fang dodged or not, because he is defeated either way.

The winner by LB in round 8 is Jalnur.

The crowds go wild, cheering the incredible fight! The CN crowds start fights with LE, clamoring about "steroids" and other such "cheating"...until General I2K says, "So?"

Wow - that was really close. Needless to say I'm pretty happy about attacking on the defensive and having it pay off. Really didn't think J would be able to tough it out until the batteries recharged.

Sweet!

(One week later)

“Welcome back to our exciting final match of the CR 4 edition of the Tournament of Champions! This match features the best of the Lawful Evil forces against the best of the Chaotic Evil forces.”

“Now making her way into the southwestern portion of the arena, this combatant measures 4 feet tall and weighs 320 pounds. She has a record of three wins, one loss, and zero draws. Representing the forces of Lawful Evil, please welcome the very young blue dragon Jalnurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!”

Jalnur flies awkwardly into the arena. She has dramatic frilled ears and a single massive horn erupting from her snout. The smell of ozone lingers near her, and her azure-tinged scales glitter in the light.

“And now making his way into the southeastern portion of the arena, this combatant also measures 4 feet tall and weighs 320 pounds. He is undefeated with a record of three wins, zero losses, and one draw. Representing the forces of Chaotic Evil, please welcome the very young chaos dragon G’aufsssssssssssss!”

The wild cheers of the Chaotic Evil faction welcome G’aufs as he enters. He looks pretty tough, with four powerfully clawed limbs, mighty wings, a jagged-edge tail, and a long serpentine neck topped by a mouth full of dagger-sharp teeth.

Psybo communicates telepathically to the two combatants. “Jalnur, you have the initiative. G’aufs, you choose the starting positions. Now go at it!”

Skills and Feats for G'aufs:[sblock]He has maximum ranks in Concentration, Knowledge (arcana), Listen, Search, Sense Motive, Spot, and Use Magic Device. He has the feats Alertness, Flyby Attack, Hover, and Power Attack. He knows that Jalnur has dragon traits and a lightning breath weapon, is immune to electricity, and can create or destroy water.[/sblock]

G'faus tries to cheat by starting in the exact middle (60n60e0z) and casting his 1 and only spell before the official start.
Otherwise he heads for the middle of the north wall - Jalnur can start in south central either way.
