OOC: Is that a special vulnerability of the Noviere Eladrin, or is there some other rule I'm not familiar with that caused the trip?

OOC2: Just to complicate matters, should the water break his fall any, or is that making things far harder than they should be?

OOC1: I am guessing that Luparo has the trip ability that is common with canine creatures' bites. Tripping a flying creature with wings causes its wings to snarl and the creature to stall.

OOC2: A thirty foot fall into water only two feet deep should not be different enough from solid ground to make a difference.
